Learning to play the piano is actually not that difficult. If you know how to type, you can play the piano. My system breaks it down so that it's easy. Instead of having to learn all the theory and notation, I'll take you right to the fun part, learning to play chords and putting them together in rhythm patterns that sound great. You'll learn a simple system that'll teach you how to read the chords written above sheet music, or in jazz fake books -- such as CM7, or Bb13. I'll teach you a method so that you'll always play them quickly and beautifully. Basically, there are four common chord types (Major 7th, Minor 7th, Diminished 7th and Dominant 7th) and two GREAT SOUNDING voicings to play them. I'll teach you the three essential notes in every chord and how to find them lightning fast. Once you learn the three essenial notes and how to use them, I'll teach you how to move them around and add other notes to make amazing sounding music. You'll soon know how to use them when you play and when you write. The method is best for intelligent people or those with some musical background. If you have no musical knowledge, I'll have to teach you a little theory -- which will take an extra half-hour or so. The best thing about it, it should only take a couple of lessons and maybe about ten hours of outside practice time. If you've tried to play piano and you still sound awful when someone puts sheet music in front of you, this method will help you always sound great. It's great for songwriters, singers who want to accompany themselves, or someone who's always wanted to play piano, but didn't like other approaches. Lessons are $40/hr and are taught in midtown Manhattan. Or you can buy my book, and learn my method on your own! Piano Lessons "Although I thought I knew how to play chords from a lead sheet,
